The Boston Calling Block Parties, hosted by Crash Line Productions, are back with a bang! The fun-filled 21+ parties will be held at Dewey Square Park on Rose Kennedy Greenway, so summer just got better.

This popular weekly series started on May 12 and will continue into September. The parties are usually graced by a young after work crowd and a healthy representation of university students. Enjoy the weekly concerts every Thursday between 5 and 8 p.m. Alcohol (beer or wine) can be purchased with photo ID. Dewey Square Park, located between Congress Street, Summer Street and Atlantic Avenue, is going to come alive with great outdoor concerts that run the gamut of musical genres. The park is easily accessible by Commuter Rail or on the Red Line from South Station. On May 12, Tigerman WOAH kick-started this season’s Boston Calling Block Parties with a snarl. On May 19, The Almighty Buck entertained the crowd with an enthralling performance leaving everyone asking for more. The Swinging Johnsons performed on May 26. The rest of the already announced shows include Nemes, performing on June 2 and hi8tus on June 9. Many other performers from local favorites to national up-and-comers will follow in the weeks to come. Who says you cannot party until Friday? Thursday nights just got more vibrant and interesting, all thanks to the Boston Calling Block Parties, a great way to get a jump on the weekend .

If you want in on #ThirstyThursday, there are many restaurants and food trucks such as The Dining Car and Sheherazad for attendees to drink and dine at during or after the event. There will also be more than 15 vendors from the Boston Public Market Farmer’s Market. The live entertainment by local bands and DJs will entertain fans of all ages. There is an eclectic mix of music from indie rock bands to beat spinners. The rotating lineup of performers ensures that you can catch your favorite band again in case you have missed a performance the first time around. Check the website for future lineup announcements. Downtown Boston is going to be buzzing with activities this summer, and the Boston Calling Block Parties is one that will ensure that your Thursday evenings are entertaining. Rain or shine, the events usually take place as scheduled. There is shelter if it rains so there is no excuse to miss out!
