Congratulations on your engagement! Now it’s time to plan your “I do”s. The State Room

High above the Boston financial district, deep within the Sixty State Street Skyscraper, the event spaces at The State Room provide unparalleled views of the city and harbor. Imagine saying “I do” with the twinkling lights of Boston buttressing your nuptials.

The State Room has several different corners which can each be rented individually to make your wedding unique and specific to your vision. The “Great Room” features a panoramic glass wall; 20 feet high and 120 feet across. With room for 900 reception guests (599 if you’re planning a sit-down dinner), the mahogany floors and floating staircase simply scream Brahmin luxury and class. The Harborside Salons look out on (you guessed it) Boston harbor and host 200 dinner guests or 420 reception guests. The more intimate Cityside Salons give you the feeling of being on top of the world; looking out on the rooftops of Boston, this room hosts 180 dinner guests or 360 reception guests. Finally, the exclusive loft is for the most intimate of weddings (100 dinner guests or 150 reception guests) and includes a private VIP entrance for you and your guests.

Old South Meeting House

Make history in a place rich with heritage: the Old South Meeting House is a National Historic Landmark ready and willing to host your special day. The interior is kept authentic to its 18th century roots and arranged in the style of a traditional New England meetinghouse.

Perhaps best of all, weddings at the Old South Meeting House are staffed by event managers and museum assistants who know the lay of the land better than any other. An exclusive event manager will be on hand to assist you with wedding planning before the big day, but also coordinate any day-of logistics you may require. Music, procession, everything is taken care of by a calm, cool, and collected third party who knows weddings like the back of her hand.

The Old South Meeting House also works with several wedding-related vendors who they highly recommend (though you are not required to use). Essentially, your wedding could be completely taken care of in a low-stress, high-efficiency, and truly professional way right in downtown Boston.

Boston Opera House

You can rent the Grand Lobby with its silk-adorned walls and imported Carrera marble columns, the Mezzanine’s promenade, the Fireplace Lounge (for an intimate ceremony of up to 50 people standing), the Versailles room (modeled after the hall of mirrors at Paris’ Versailles Palace), the Walnut room, the VIP lounge, or even the theatre’s stage!
