Tales From Ovid at Paramount Center

Boston’s own Whistler in the Dark company revisits their bold staging, combining their signature pared-down aesthetic and dizzying aerial feats in Tales from Ovid. An explosive combination of movement and poetry Tales from Ovid features several myths from Ovid’s classic, Metamorphoses, which have been the basis for countless contemporary stories. Using Ted Hughes’ muscular and robust translation, myths of transformation, transcendent passion, gods and mortals are explored in this vibrant new adaptation. Tales from Ovid is showing at the intimate, 150-seat Jackie Theatre at the Paramount Center from November 8th through November 18th.
