One Boston Day 2016

Posted April 14, 2016 by Jason Balla in Downtown Boston

On April 11, Mayor Marty Walsh signed a proclamation decreeing that April 15 would permanently be known as One Boston Day, in honor of the courage, generosity and resilience of Bostonians in the wake of the tragic Boston Marathon bombing in 2013.

At 2:49 pm on Friday the 15th, there will be a citywide moment of silence for the victims, and church bells will ring throughout the city. One Boston Day will also be a day of action, where Bostonians demonstrate acts of kindness to those in need. To find out what is taking place and what you can do to participate, visit
