Sweet Cupcakes

Posted October 19, 2012 by Alaina Racioppi in Downtown Crossing

The cupcake epidemic has relentlessly swept the United States like food trucks, Honey Boo Boo, or dub step. And Boston is no stranger to this saccharine trend, with cupcake shops on nearly every corner, it shouldn╩╝t be too difficult to satisfy your sweet tooth while in the Hub.

But Sweet Cupcakes, an utterly charming, pink-on-pink-on-white oasis in the heart of downtown, is truly one-of-a-kind. Best known for their unusual and seasonal flavors, the handcrafted cupcakes are freshly baked every morning from scratch using the finest ingredients like Callebaut chocolate and Madagascar Bourbon vanilla. Located all over Boston from the Back Bay and Newbury Street, to Harvard Square and Downtown, their cakes and cupcakes are made, served and delivered with care for the ultimate experience. Sweet has been awarded Best Cupcakes in 2009, 2010 and 2011.

Gleaming white logos, architecture, interior design, packaging and wallpaper were designed by professionals Maribel Sandoski, Annsley McAleer and Diane Lim with white chairs and pink couches invite customers to indulge in a dreamy atmosphere of bonbons, Frank Sinatra tunes and Audrey Hepburn films.
